Hp printer c4400 hardware problems

Hi
Bought C4400 printer last Spring, has been working fine til today, refuses to switch on. Checked lead, cord, voltage, plug, socket... all fine. HP tec on the phone told me it was a 'Hardware' problem. Gave me bogus phone number : 456056013..
Is my printer dead?

Sure sounds like it's dead. You can try a new power brick, otherwise new printer.
