LOADING WINDOWS ON DESKTOP

Hello,
i HAVE A LENOVO LAPTOP AND IT WILL ALLOW ME TO TYPE IN MY PASSWORD AND HAVE ME TO WAIT AS IF IT IS GOING TO BRING UP THE WINDOWS DESKTOP BUT THE SCREEN COMES UP SHOWING "LOGGING OFF" AND THEN IT WILL LOG OFF ON ITS ON, I BELIEVE IT IS A SOFTWARE PROBLEM. hOW CAN I FIX THIS PROBLEM? IT DONT ALLOW ME TO SEE OR ICONS (SHORTCUT KEYS) NOR GO ON THE DESKTOP SCREEN

You may have a virus problem, or possibly a problem with an update...
You can try to repair windows with the windows install disk...
This does not erase your files, but resets the operating system.
The directions to repair windows are posted at the top of this forum. Read and follow the directions carefully.

If you do not have the disk to install XP, a computer tech store can recover your files, or reload the OS...you might want to upgrade to win 7. Many times this will cost $120-$200, including the new software.
However, your files are still (usually) on the drive, and can be recovered.
