More about geforce gtx280 radeon 5770
  1. The GTX 280 is 20-25% more powerful but it also uses close to twice as much power so make sure your PSU can handle that. If not you may want to go for the HD5770 instead as it should be fine for most PSU and is also DX11 compatible.

  3. GTX 280 is powerful than HD 5770.
Even if ur PSU is 70% efficient it will run the 280.Any lower and I won't trust the quality.

If the price is same the 280 is the way to go.
  4. thanks!

GTX280 is more powerful, however you can get a 5850 for almost the same price as the GTX280.

The ATI 5850 would be faster and is priced similarly.
