No signal

hi my name is bikash i had a geforce gtx 295 for an year and just yesterday suddenly when i switch on my computer there is no signal to my monitor .. my monitor is samsung t240 hd. i try through hdmi there is no signal and even i did with dvi out to dvi in to monitor still there is no signal at all. please let me know is that a problem of my graphics card. i knew for hdmi i should reassign to hdmi but my dvi is showing no signal at all so i change dvi cable and try again but still no signal at all . so please let me know is that a problem of graphics card or not.

could you tell me your specs? with the 295 the first thing i'd look at is your power supply. they need around a 1000W PSU. but what are your specs?

You have three possibilities GPU, Monitor or PSU failing. Have you checked the monitor on a different computer? Same goes with GPU and PSU only way to tell for sure is process of elimination.

i think the monitor seems to be ok i play ps3 everything works fine. the one thing i wonder is that when i switch on my computer the computer seems load ok. i can hear even startup sound as well.

Any way you can test the GPU in a different computer?

so any alternative how would i know what is the problem. i dont have any other computer to try..

Then all you can do is take a change. If you hear your computer coming on, it points to the GPU but does not 100% eliminate that it is not getting sufficient power.

hi i didnt get what u mean. u mean my graphic card is the problem .

It is more likely that it is the GPU but with out testing it is not 100% sure.
