Intel i5 650 vs i7 -920
Ok. I'm having a box built with the Intel i5-650 with the DP55 W mother board for home , games and work. Would I be better off with the Intel I7-920 processor and is 4GB ram ok? or do I go big with 8 to 9 BG? Also what about the ATI 4670 1gb Video card good ,fair or bust?

Can I be honest about it? I just don't want no more saying that I am trying to be right or anything above.
Hands down The i7-920 over the Dual core but that is optional ($288.99)
But if you are looking for something that is in a budget range then the i5-650 Dual Core with HT, VT 4MB at the price of $189.99 (does have a higher Clock)
But you know for 5 dollars more you can get a Intel i5 750 Quad Core with Turbo boost, VT and 8MB for $194.99 ( much faster and be O.C)
Some people will say go for the i5-650 but I do believe soon that developers with developed games for triple core or quad core in a year or so.
The Technology world is growing very fast these days.
But it's your chioce

That is cool that you post this Andy

Well Yes, I'm at time would just not bother doing research until I ask people they professional optional.
Well I would do a item check on with thing look it up and them I ask because I do believe personal encounters
with the items are more ideal for me. I'll would like to hear the people. But you are right and I am sorry that at times
I don't do research before asking.
But maybe he/she is new to Intel i5, I sure was about 3 weeks ago until I do all the goodies and read the manual.
Then again at times the manual can confused you until you keep reading and reading it over and over again until you understand it.
In any case, if you want to go for the i7 920 you'll need a different motherboard as well - i7 900 series are socket 1366, all other i whatevers are socket 1156.
4GB RAM is fine for gaming, go higher if you're doing video/audio/graphics.
BUT socket 1366 motherboards ideally use triple-channel RAM, so it's in 3s.
