I5 2500k 3.3

Is the intel i5 2500k 3.3 good enough for gaming or does it not matter, also I don't really want to overclock it because I'm worried it will destroy the rest of my pc.

More about 2500k
  1. It's the best gaming CPU (even at stock) currently on the market (along with the 3570K). You shouldn't really NEED to OC for quite some time.

I OC simply because I can, not because I need to.
  2. Ok cheers

Overclocking has come a long way. Since the demand for the sport has become so widespread, everything now is OC friendly. There is also alot less risk involved than years ago imo.
