Mouse & keyboard irresponsive after few mins of gaming.

I can't play games anymore. ![:(]( ":(")
It looks like it's quite random, sometimes it happens after half an hour of gaming, sometimes it takes just couple of minutes for my mouse and/or keyboard to die and the only thing I can do is to hit the reset button...
It has never happened when using the pc for other things then gaming.
Any ideas, folks?
Let me just add that it's a PS2 optical mouse and a PS2 keyboard.

Im not really sure what can be causing that other than checking in the boot up
Bios that USB mouse and Keyboard support is disabled.
I had a similiar situation where my ps2 ports were faulty in the end and had to disable them so i had to use usb mouse and keyboard
and sorted it out But i Upgraded to a whole new system afterwards
