I7 960 - phenom 955, whats the catch?

simple question:
phenom 955 offers the same core speed as the i7 960, so why is the i7 £150 more expensive?

first off, doesnt a quad core at 3.2 GHz offer the same clock speed as a dual core at 3.2 GHz. yes. but does it offer the same performance. no. the i7 has hyper-threading, which makes each core have its own virtual core, making a virtual octacore. also the intel has several other technologies like qpi that give it far superior performance. look at a benchmark.
