Will adding a pci-e LAN card affect my gfx performance?

Hello,
I have a m2n-sli mobo.Its 2 pci slots have stopped working.Since it has 2 pci-e slots i was thinking of getting a pci-e lan card instead of going for new mobo.The manual says if another card is added both slots would perform at x8 speeds.I currently have a 4870 hd 1gb as my gfx card.Will adding a pci-e lan card have any realistic effect on the performance of my graphics card..?

An HD 4870 will not be bottlenecked by a bandwidth lane at x8, so you should be fine.
