Hi everyone, I will be upgrading my pc from the mainboard gpu to a 5770. Do I need to disable the onboard gpu first? Is there anything important I need to know? Thanks.

Solution
If you install the 5770, your motherboard should recognize it and switch. If it doesnt. move the vga cable back to the onboard output and check for a "PCIe default" setting in your BIOS.

Good luck mate! That is a huge step up in performance. :)

Alright thanks man, this is my first pc build and I am still a bit of a noob when it comes to this stuff. And ya, I am looking forward to the step up in performance so I can max out l4d2, and BC2 when it comes out. Thanks for the quick reply as well
