Now this is an upgrade from my old system, so I am trying to have a performance oriented PC, yet still within some kind of budget. I am waiting till boxing day, and then I will buy my RAM, MOBO, and CPU. The case and the PSU aren't necessary, but if they go on sale, I will purchase them too.

Well I currently have the Radeon HD 4870 1GB Sapphire Vapor-X.

I don't do a ton of gaming, but if I ever upgraded I would go with the 5850, mostly because this build is me trying my best to future proof my PC, hence the SATA 6GB's, and USB 3.0 on the mobo. The Dual DVI ports and DirectX 11 will come in handy down the road.

The problem is I just realized that I will no longer be upgrading my system to the i7 build. Instead I will spend my saved up money on some goodies i.e. Ipod nano, audiophile headphones, new cooler on my GPU (the current one is crazy loud), new sound card, and a new case.
