My bios dont let me to overclock cpu why?

hello my motherboard is p5p43td, cpu is q9400, when i go into bios ans set it to manual for overclocking frequancy is set on 333 and not let me to change it, how can i fix it?

Get a different motherboard that allows overclocking. Some boards lock the frequencies and multipliers for safety reasons. Boards with the p67, z68, and z77 chipset support overclocking as long as the CPU itself supports it.
