loss of printer driver to install

i have lost the driver for canon pixma ip 1000 and i am unable to install.... plz help me

you must go to the cannon website and download the most current printer driver and printer software for windows 7.
Trust ONLY the manufacturer to provide drivers. 99% of drivers are always free from the manufacturer.
you must delete your current printer software.
you must turn off the anti virus and firewall before installing the new driver and software.
after you install the new stuff, restart the computer and turn all the security back ON.

NOTE: if you have loaded security, antivirus, etc, etc...it must be OFF when you are installing drivers or software.
Security, firewall, etc, will BLOCK your software installations. It "thinks" that your computer is being attacked.
If software is not loading properly, or failing to install, look at the security first.

You can open the control panel, and select the default printer. If the printer is not selected, it will not print.
