EMPTY HARDRIVE BLUE SCREEN

I recentyl had some virus issues, and I installed Ubuntu as the operating system. After I did that I wanted windows back, so I got a windows xp disk from a friend and I cleared the HD at the begining after I boot the disk. The problem is that when the installationj is over, and it trys to start up I get the blue screen of death. HELP ME PLEASE!!
