Hi there, I'm waiting for the arrival of my Phenom II X6 1090T, and I was wondering which of these mobos would be the best choice. Up to this date, is it already possible to install this specific CPU without the need for BIOS update in any of the boards? Thx!

I would go with the GIGABYTE GA-890GPA-UD3H since it has two extra SATA II slots, where the ASUS board is just SATA II slots, since they are both equal in price and provide Crossfire at x8,x8.

Both of the motherboards support the Phenom II X6 with current BIOS. The new chipset was released injunction with the II X6's.

Thx for the help! But the support you've mentioned is a full compatibility mode? I've read articles of people saying that their 1090T ran with only 850 MHz of power until they updated the BIOS for at least the 1301 version... My question is, if I don't flash the BIOS with a more recent BIOS version, will I be able to run the CPU at full power? Thx in advance!
