I'm looking to upgrade to either a GTS250 or 9800GTX+. I want to make sure they are compatible with my setup and that I will see improved graphic quality and performance over my current cards. Will the above single card offer significant upgrade over current SLI cards? Below are my system specs. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe (3 PCI, 2 PCI-E x1, 2 PCI-E x16, 4 DDR DIMM, Audio, Dual Gigabit LAN, IEEE-1394)
2X NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GT (512 MB) SLI
AMD Athlon™ 64 FX-60 Dual Core Processor @ 2.8Ghz
500W PSU

Actually the GTS250 and GTX9800+ are virtually the same card. The GTS250 is just a smaller more power friendly refresh of the 9800. Read this article:

But yes, either will give better performance than your current setup.

Yea, a GTS 250 would be a decent step up, and plenty for your build it looks like.

Your monitor isnt anything unusual right?

wow S939 board, i wish i had a dual for mine (it runs as a server now)

back to topic, the GTS250 would probably be a good card to go to

maybe look into a GTX260 as well

GTX 260 is probably overkill for that CPU.
