ASUS Crosshair IV Formula (possible) NB problem

Hey, I'm a novice builder and I've already ordered an ASUS Crosshair IV Formula just to discover that some of them have NB temperature issues. They say it's very easy to fix but, anyway, I'm a little confused:

- How can I identify if the board is right or not?
- In what does the problem exactly consist?
- How can I fix it?

And finally an extra question:

- Would you return it to the store and buy a GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD5 (192€)? I choosed the Crosshair IV (199€) because they say the software for Auto-OC is very, very good. On the other hand, I don't really know if I can return it to the store, is that a normal procedure (I bought it in main online store here in Spain)?

Thanks a lot,

PD: You can answer in Spanish if you want, anyway I defend myself with English... I'll be posting the news as they come. Thanks again.

  1. The problem is the spacers that sit under the cooling NB.
For some, they are too long.
One can filla them down so they can connect with the coolingpast.

Hey, thanks for the reply. My motherboard was OK so I didn't have to do anything, however, I forgot to close the thread...

    Anyway, thanks!
