BIOS WONT LET ME OVERCLOCK.

my cpu is aweful and id like to overclock it but my bios doesnt have the right facilities.

i was wondering if there was any other way of ocing it on a software level in th GUI.

i have a :athlon 64 x2 3800+
AMI BIOS.

im new so forgive me if iv made mistakes

I am guessing you have a dell or something which have locked bios you might be able to use setfsb utility google it and read up on it.

i bought each component individually and built this pc in hope id be able to overclock. thats why i am so confused by it.

Guys will AMD over drive work for his CPU

@scottrowland1441 maybe.....update your BIOS, that may help

WAIT what do u exactly mean by u can't overclock......can u not increase the fsb/multiplier but if u can't find these options....do update your BIOS
