How to print black and white only on hp 3520 printer

forget greyscale...it still uses the color cartridge

Generally, HP printer properties have another option under grayscale that says to use black only. Or on others you uncheck the high quality grayscale which then uses black only.

unfortunately neither of your recommendations are available on the 3520...thanks anyway...

Are you using the basic HP driver, the full feature HP driver, or a Windows XP built-in driver?

OK, why are you posting to a Windows XP group? ;) 

Anyway, that is your problem; there is NOT a Windows 7 driver from HP, so you are using a generic Windows 7 driver.
