Hello folks,

I built my first computer in late January of this year. I don't really recall why I chose my motherboard but can someone explain to me what this board is particularly good for? lol

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131594&cm_re=asus_ws_supercomputer-_-13-131-594-_-Product

I think I picked it because it had one of the highest ratings in its category on Newegg at the time, lol. I've got money so what can I do with this baby? lol

Could someone explain:

Nvidia NF200 PCI Express Bridge

Cuda Parallel Computing

Crossfirex "on demand"

Here's my specs:

Intel Core i7 - 860 Lynnfield Processor @ 2.8GHz
Asus P7P55 WS SuperComputer ATX Motherboard
EVGA 9800 GTX+ Graphics Card
G.SKILL RipJaw 4GB Triple Channel DDR3 1600 RAM
Corsair 850W Power Supply
Cooler Master HAF 932 Steel ATX Full Tower Case

Hi,

I am in the middle of building my first computer and chose a asus p55 board too. I am going to use DDR3 dual channel. I do recall reading something, somewhere that stated you cannot run triple channel on a P55 1156 socket mobo. This probably means that your Ram will default to dual channel.

Well have a look at that anyway.
