Hi everyone!

I just got a upgrade copy of Windows 7 Professional 64bit, and just finished installing it. But the thing is, I got a AMD Phenom II x4 925 on blackfriday. My motherboard (Which is a Foxconn A7GM-S) needs it's BIOS updated so that it can support a AM3 socket. I am currently using a AMD Athlon X2 6000+ AM2(it might be a "AM2+" socket I don't remember). Anyways I don't know how to flash it exactly, I know it has something to do with creating a bootable disk(I'll be using a bootable CD) to flash. I have the BIOS file here(http://www.foxconnchannel.com/support/downloads_detail....). How do a flash my BIOS?

Thanks for any help!

Well, right there on the same page where you found the BIOS is a link that explains exactly how to flash the BIOS on your particular motherboard.
http://www.foxconnsupport.com/faq.aspx?faqid=F000000066

And as you read the directions, you come upon another handy link that says something like "if you do not know how to create a bootable disk, go here for instructions"
http://www.foxconnsupport.com/faq.aspx?faqid=F000000065

Be warned that you should read ALL of these instructions very, very carefully and make certain you understand exactly what you are about to do before you start.
A botched BIOS update, which is easy to do, will leave you with a DEAD MOTHERBOARD. There is nothing you can do then but send the board back to Foxconn to have a new BIOS flashed to the board. Period.
It only takes a few seconds to do a successful BIOS update if you do it correctly, just make sure you understand it perfectly before you start!
