i use AMD Phenom II X4 955 with a stock cooler and fan. I did buy Arctic's MX-2 and applied on the processor and then again i put the stock cooler and fan. Now i have ordered a aftermarket CPU cooler, so how do i separate the heatsink and processor. Well last time i pulled out my heat sink, the processor cam out with it

Solution
the best way to do it is when it is hot so have your computer running for an hour to get it nice and hot and then shut it down and remove the heatsink it should come rite off when it is hot. Another way is to warm it up with a hair dryer but just leaving the PC on for an hour should do it.
