When I press Ctrl+Alt+Del, a message appears saying
"Task Manager has been disabled by your adminstrator"

Knowing that my profile is an adminstrator profile...

This behavior can be caused by several different viruses. Make sure your
anti virus program has the latest definition update and run a complete virus
scan. If you do not have an anti virus program installed, use one of the
free, online scanning tools.

Free online virus scan

Msconfig.exe Task Manager and the Registry Editor are all targets. Since the
programs are blocked by name, renaming the executables is a workaround.
Example: Rename regedit.exe to regedit.com.

If this does not resolve the problem, you can run the tool created by MVP
Doug Knox that creates a "backup set" of those three programs (each with a
name different than the originals):

MeEdOooO,

This message is caused by restrictions placed in registry. DisableTaskMgr
value is set to 1 or via Group Policy. It has been noted that many malware
enables this restriction.

Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator:

Then follow Ronnie's advice and run a full system virus scan.
