You want to dual boot - For example, add XP to Win7....

  2. Another way is to get win 7 pro, then with a downlaod you can run xp in virtual mode, even have shortcuts to programs in xp virtual mode on the win 7 desktop! The other cool thing about that is xp virtual can run 32bit programs even if 7 is 64 bit!

  3. Install Win XP first in drive C, then Install win 7 and choose another partition except drive C & select New Install Option. Do not select upgrade option.
  4. Be sure to create two partitions first so that you will be able to install both OS's. And as Princesiddiqui mentioned, install XP first on C drive. If you install Windows 7 first and then XP it will not work because XP does not recognise the boot file(MBR) on Windows 7
