H100 FAN HELP!

Im installing a new cpu & cpu cooler.
im getting the new ivy bridge i5 cpu and the H100.
my question is.
can i replace the H100 Fans By Some Cougar ones (Im not doing PUSH PULL) just replacing
1.can i still controll the cougar fans speed with the h100 fan speed control?
2.WILL IT WORK, im afraid if i replace the h100 stock fans it will all just go wrong and have high temps?

Which exact i5?

Do you really need an H100?

Make sure the new fans use a similar power to the old fans, so that you don't overload the fan control, and make sure that the new ones have same or more CFM of air. If you follow these two things, all will be well.
