Trojan- fake alert

Hi I've been having problems with a trojan-fake alert and adware which are making my computer freeze, even when I run my AVG 9.0 antivirus protection and super antispyware. Is there any way to get rid of this trojan without spending any money? Thanks in advance.

Try http://www.malwarebytes.org

I've had good success with it.

If all else fails, once you know the specific bug, you can google it, figure out the component parts, boot into single user mode, and clean it manually.

After I was hit, I also added www.prevx.com to my purchased software list.

reboot into safe mode
run avg fullscan (not quick) from safe mode
superantispyware
Malwarebytes anti-malware

if you still have it
avira antivirus
kapersky av
spybot search and destroy
and
hijack this!

should be all you need after that
