Problem installing PCI Replacement Card

Based on recommendations from the group, I replaced my old PCI card on my Dell 8400 with a n HD 4670. When I rebooted, I got black screen error message "Drive 4 not found Parallel ATA PATA- 0- PRI IDE Master" and "Drive 5 not found Parallel ATA PATA-1- PRI IDE Slave" First I ignored and went to F1 and found that my CD and DVD drives were not found. I then when to F2 next time I booted and turned both to the ON position - still no CD or DVD drives. I also tried a system restore with no luck.

Ideas?

Open her up and make sure the cables are plugged in all the way on the drives.

I did that and a cable was pulled. I plugged back in but still no recognition after many reboots - I will try to turn off the drive 4 and 5 that I turned on to see if that does the trick.
