I have read that sometimes the bundles or combo deals dont really work together so I want to get some board advice on these "Builds". Thanks all!
The 940 is AM2+, which is a dead end. Also, DDR2 prices are skyrocketing as it's nearing end of life. As such, you'd pay a lot for inferior stuff.
The 945 is a great CPU, but the 5750 is the only 5XXX card I cannot recommend at all. With the massively superior (often as much as 50%) 5770 priced quite closely, and the better 4XXX cards also hanging around that price tag, the 5750 is a poor choice.
Means 500 seems to be about your price range, i would suggest this. From a few weeks of searching for the price these seem to be about the best you can get. Anyone here who knows anything better for the price though please speak up! Id like to know too. Sadly these arent really combos except for one.
***What is the difference between this chip and the AMD Phenom II X3 720 2.8GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Black Processor Model HDZ720WFGIBOX? There is about a $50 difference. Would it really be worth it to upgrade?***
