I"m planning to replace my old laptop and I'm thinking to buy an iBook.
One iBook with the following specs will cost me about 1500?

.. VGA video output (mirroring) with Apple VGA Display Adaptor
.. AirPort Extreme ready
.. Mac OS X v10.3 ??? Classic

Are there any disadvantages buying an iBook instead of a x86 laptop?
Can I find at the same price a better x86 laptop? Any suggestions?
