Emails missing

Hello,
I was downloading emails in outlook express and the computer froze. When I got things working I had lost 2 years of emails out of my inbox. The ones previous are there. They are there somewher, but I don't know how to get them to show up

No one knows what you did to "get things working" Check with your mail server techs. And why would you want to keep 2 yrs of emails is beyond me .

What difference does it make why I want to save them? As it happens, I have a business and keeping past emails is easier than printing them out and putting them in a folder. As far as how I got the things working I simply re=booted. Thanks for your insight.
