Help fix a split screen

Hello, my notebook developed a dual screen display giving same outputs on the left and right side.i tried all i can to fix it has all been in vain.please help because i can't afford to acquire a new laptop.thanks

Boot from an Ubuntu or Fedora liveCD. if you still get a problem with your display then you need to replace your screen. if it works from the bootdisc then you will need to fix the software problem in windows or reinstall windows.
