I recently finished my first built and installed 4gb ddr3 1600 on this board and read on the review that 1600 works on it even though it didn't show it on the specs page. So, I bought this and it worked like a charm! I also love how the heat sink looks.
I bought an additional set of g.skill 4gb sticks because it was on sale a week ago. So I'm looking to buy another board and my question is: of course I would have to pick another mobo that supports ddr3 but since my MSi works the 1600 perfectly even with it not being listed on the specs, how would I know which one to choose?
Well there are many RAMs that aren't in the QVL list of the motherboard but will work fine on it, so just make sure that the motherboard supports DDR3 1600MHz RAM and you'll be fine using the G.Skill one on it.
