RAM timings for HD rendering

MB is ASUS M4A89TD PRO, Board supports 1333 RAM, may consider overclocking.

Looking to start with two 4-GB sticks then upgrade later to 16, I find that the timings are on average 9-9-9-24, Cas Latency-9.

Can I also use 1600 on this MB?

For rendering HD video, is timings hyper-critical or should I try to go with a latency of 7 or 8 or is that just normal for larger capacity RAM sticks?

Get lower timings than 9/9/9 as this is slow until you get up to 1800 mhz.

Here's what's racking my brain...

8GB RAM in a 4x2 configuration is cheaper and faster, timings are 7-7-7-7, or 8-8-8-8, but the 2x4 configuration is almost always 9-9-9-9 and much more expensive.

My MB states RAM is 1333 but 2000 OC'd, does this mean that 1600 will work fine?

So what the 4GB sticks slower, or are they really slower at all?
