Hello people;
Newbbie here. I have to run a music software which requires special specs. I dont know what it means but it needs huge amount of memory and special processor. I run the software with a mac with these spcs I write down at this page and I have problems. Here is the list of problems:

1 - The software takes long to load.
2 - When I open more than 2 files at the same time, everything goes slow (even the mouse) and the computer stops responding as fast as it should.
3 - The connection between the audio card and the software gets disconnected and there is hicups.

I contacted apple and they said you need better processosr and more ram.

How can I know what is the best amount of ram (4gig or 8 gig) and the best processor for me?

Thanks

Well as I use mac:

Mac OS X System Requirements

* Intel Mac (multiple cores highly recommended)
* 1 GB RAM or more
* DVD drive
* 2 GB free hard disk space (program may use up to 20 GB scratch disk space)
* Mac OS X 10.4 or higher
* Monitor with at least 1024x768 resolution
* CoreAudio compliant audio interface or built-in audio hardware
* Free USB port for Ignition Key
* Internet connection for registration

I was monitoring processes in tak manager, and it looked like the amount available memory droped down up to 50mb while I was running this software.

Well your system is better than the recommended specs for that software. You have a dual core CPU and 2GB RAM which is double the recommended. I don't have a clue when it comes to Macs but your system is within the specs for sure.
