The Ion/Atom platform provides hdmi output and robust graphics capabilities. The Broadcom Crystal Media/Atom platform lacks hdmi, uses one of the four potential PCIE lanes, provides robust graphics (which have not yet been verified by credible independent testing), costs less to purchase, and has a lower energy cost to either operate or idle. Neither vendor has fallen asleep. Yes, this poll asks a predictive question about your understanding of consumer tastes rather than personal preference.

Most netbook owners just want to be able to watch YouTube videos. Converting videos into different formats is not something most netbook users care about (or even know about) Therefore... it'll be Broadcom by a mile on this one. Ion is the superior product between the two, but it carries a prohibitively high cost and that's a major downer in a segment that operates on ultra-slim margins.

Well, 2010 is halfway, and ION outselled broadcom.
But perhaps some marketing could turn that around.
Only a pitty the computing power of broadcom does not seem to be able to be used for gaming. If they could only write a cuda like software pack, the extra computing power could help games display better graphics. But alas, I have not yet found any patch or hack in this matter.

Wont touch either, but ion will outsell due to marketing!
