Pc does not shutdown blue screen appears after turn off

I can't shut down my dell laptop,when the blue screen of death comes. how to shut down the laptop and restart it. pl help me.

Try repair of the OS by running sfc /scannow from command prompt, provided you have your Windows CP CD.

what does the blue screen point to?

Try only loading basic and see if U get same error:
Start >run>msconfig>Load basic.....click ok
Still there?

Does it do the same on every user?If not, it would be easier to just copy your documents and desktop to a new user.
Or it it's user profile related, U could download UHP clean. U could try downloading and let it run as a service.

Or try removing some of your services from msconfig that U don't need and aren't vital and try again.
