Hi, as u can see i am new around here. so i dont know if this is the right placce to post this, but here it is.

My question is:

Is this CPU
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor

And with this Mem Ram
Kingston HyperX 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Desktop Memory Model KHX8500D2/1G

are Compatible with this Motherboard
ASUS M3N78-VM AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 8200 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard (i've already have this motherboard and working)

You can find all in newegg.com.

I am planning to buy it, and even that i know they are compatible want to be sure, i have the latest BIOS updates on the motherboard, i read all about compatibility so I am sure, but I just want your opinion.

Best solution

I know that AM3 processors work in AM2+ motherboards, but not the other way around. Since it is the case of AM3 processor in AM2+ motherboard, I am pretty sure that the CPU will work, as long as you have the latest BIOS updates, which you say you do.

The RAM is of the correct type. I'm pretty sure it will work.

However, I suggest you get the Phenom II 955 BE instead. It's cheaper than the 965, but overclocks just as well.

This wiil be my first time with a Quad Core, this is my system right now:

x1 ASUS M3N78-VM AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 8200 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
x4 Kingston 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory Model KVR800D2/1GR
x1 ASUS 20X DVD±R DVD Burner Black SATA Model DRW-2014S1T - OEM
x1 ASUS ENGTS250 DK/HTDI/1GD3 GeForce GTS 250 1GB 256-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
and
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ Brisbane 2.9GHz Socket AM2 65W Dual-Core Processor Model ADO5600IAA5DO overclocked to 3.08

And 600 watts PUS

But i want more performance, more and more.

your GPU could use a refresh, if performance is a concern.

nVidia's 400 series is (hopefully) just around the corner, if you're an nVidia loyalist.
