I've seen lots of posts lately regarding the error message "the disk is write protected"...The problem is not on any computer, it's the micro adapter that has worn out via the LOCK feature. The lock "button" moves without your knowledge.

I saw some posts where people were saying to push the disk in part ways and then take it out and put it in and so on...that's because the lock feature was being moved each time the adapter was being taken in and out of the drive. The lock feature is cheap and wears out easily and so over time it slides into the lock position and cause the data to be....well, locked. It seems as if it has happened a lot lately, probably because these cheap micro adapters have a short shelf life due to lots of use.

Well the old saying goes...you get what you pay for. It's time to replace that old micro adapter and get rid of this problem once and for all. Well, until you have to replace it again ;)
