Hi, I currently own an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 with arctic silver 5 and with a Coolermaster hyper tx3 on top. I was planning to overclock sometime, but that I'm not to worried about just yet. For future information, is the Coolermaster hyper TX3 a good CPU heatsink for overclocking? I've read that Coolermaster hyper 212+ heatsinks are a great performer at a friendly cost, but is it a little bit crazy to overclock with what I've got, let alone how far I go?
The stock speed for the Q9450 is 2.66 ghz, and I have no clue how far this thing will overclock. So really, I need a cooler that can perform well no matter what temps it encounters. I've seen people touch 3.88 stable, but every processor is different. I might consider 3.6 or something around there, just to be safe. Opinions?
