HDD and different motherboards

Hi all, I was wondering if I could take my HDD out of my computer and install Windows 7 on to it through another computer, my motherboard had to be sent back and I'm quite anxious, I want Windows ready to go by the time my motherboard gets back, would any thing be wrong? (chipsets and such?) Thanks.

IMHO it would be more trouble than it's worth. Depending on the chipsets and drivers used for each motherboard you may have to do quite a bit of fiddling to get the system to boot and work properly when you get your original motherboard back.
