Compaq presario 2100 shuts down after 20 sec after entering the BIOS.

I have a compaq presario 2100 (labtop) It shuts down 20 sec after entering the BIOS. It doesn't matter if you are working in the BIOS or just having it on that screen. Can someone tell me why it shuts down after 20 sec. It only happens in the BIOS. Everythingelse works well.

Hmmm, try resetting your CMOS first. After you back up everything you need of course.
