Hey there,

I've been searching for a reliable SLI-compatible motherboard that is compatible with the i5 on tigerdirect.ca...However, I'm having little success. Does anyone know of a reliable board meeting these requirements?

Almost all i5 MBs (P55/ 1156 socket) support sli...I'm not sure why you are having a problem. There are just a couple extreme budget boards that only support crossfire. Although in general, if you are considering sli with two fairly powerful cards, the 1366 boards with a i7 920 is a better option due to its increased pci-e lanes. The best you can do on a P55 is x8/x8 for crossfire or sli, and if you have anything else that uses pci-e lanes it will cut into those even more.

Thanks everyone. IT seems I was just going in circles and not understanding that you didn't need many 16x slots to run it.

I've set up a thread on my first build if anyone is interested in helping me. I'd appreciate any advice.

Thanks again.
