More about first build 1000 1100 need advice
  1. If you don't mind shopping at ncix.com or newegg.ca, you can get a better deal on the pc. TD prices are marked up too much. The only thing I bought from 'em is i5 750 for $5-10 less than everyone else, before tax.
  2. I'm looking at setting up a very similiar build, except I'm going to go for the WD drives. What case are you using? Also, on that MOBO I've read some people have ram problems, like it only goes up to 4gb or something. I'm looking at the coolermaster haf 922 case if I can get a deal. You can get a good deal on the samsung 23" monitor at canada computers if it's still in stock. I bought my monitor LG 199 FS boxing day, they had a bunch in stock if the sammy is oos.
  3. The same rams at newegg are 99$
With that extra money, u can spend an additional 10$ (@newegg) to get the Asus P7P55D-e Pro which is the same as the one u picked + it comes with usb 3.0 and you can slot in faster hdd's 2 x SATA 6Gb/s.

You can downgrade the HDD to 1.0TB for a little more saving

With the changes, you can get the 5770

For a case if you want a cheap/good air flow

the antec illusion 300 or cm 690 are good choices

And if you don't need a slim dvd than get a normal size same thing for 10$ less.
