Please help! my screen display cannot reach my monitor's size. there is still space of 1 inch before my screen reach my monitor's size.. thanks in advance!

CRT monitors have settings for adjusting the image, check out all those little buttons on the side of the monitor.

some LCD monitors have a 1:1 pixel mapping feature, lower than native resolutions are shown without stretching (with black borders). Go to the display properties/settings and set the correct (native) resolution. (usually the highest that's shown in the list)
