Hello,

I recently had a drive semi-break on me. I ran SeaTools for Dos and used it to try and fix the bad sectors. This however lost me a bunch of files. I am trying to recover them before I format the drive and reinstall windows. So I run CHKDSK /r in the recovery console and it has been going for 27 hours now on a 1.5 TB drive still displaying 10%. It is not frozen because the line underneath the 10% is still blinking. Is it supposed to take this long?

Also, system has 4GB of ram and I am unable to start windows. I also am unable to repair windows with the install disk because in the "System recover options" window does not display any windows installations.

Thanks, Any help would be appreciated.
