Hello,
its my firts post here!
Thanx for everyone reading this
thread ;)

I recentrly upgrade my pc to a
motherboard asus P6T, i7 (920)
and 12GB of Corsair memory (4 pairs of 2GB)

but the problem is:
my system crash after some minutes os use, no matter what programn i am using, and reboot just with 8GB, i think one pair of it (4G) is causing this...

or maybe a compatibility question?

i am using Windows ultimate 64 bits....

any help will apreciated....

byt the way, is there some software that could test my memory?

Also, can you download CPU-Z here: http://www.filehippo.com/download_cpuz/
Run that, click on "Memory" tab, and tell us the timing numbers it has set,
The exact kind of ram you have

Are you saying you have 6x2gb in, and the PC is only reading 8 of it, along with crashing?

Thanx guys for the fast reply!

i am not at home so, so idont know the exactly model

i now its Corsair, its ddr3...

i will install both the 2 appz above and see what it says!

and post again in here.

BLCKHAZE! i start my pc with 12GB of ram...but after use it for some minutes
it gets that bluescreen error and back always with 8GB.

For i get back to my 12GB, i have to turn off my PC for some minutes! otherwise
no matter how much i reboot, i just get always the same 8GB

Exits three options for that problem

1- The RAM (I think that it's)
2- The mobo
3- The mobo and the RAM but this is the less possible option.

Uninstall one 8GB kit and test the rig with memtest86+ and games, after that test the other 8GB and let me know which are the results.

HI there!

i am back with some reports! I think it will help to solve the prob! ;)

I run the memtest86+ in a pen drive,

and after 5 hours and 42 minutes!!! ( and yes, i leave it at home and still is running!)

i got this picture:

and another half:

[/IMG]

the image it says about 20.700 errors!

is that too much for memory?

i hope at the end of analysis, this little magic software will tell me
in which slot the problem is...

Hey Saint! really thanx for your time and patience!
I already leave my PC at the store, and the guy is putting the new memories!

The question now is:

i already pointed this forum and said that NOW i know how to test memories :D

So i will leave that little soft that you pointed to me, making the test before

i leave the store with the pc,

BUT how long must the test run?

cause last time it took too longe...about 12 hours and not finished yet!

just one PASS is enough for test:?

thanx again my MATE
