I have a Dell Dimension 4600i desktop with an Intel E210882 Motherboard and P4-266Mhz CPU and am trying to upgrade the RAM to 4G total. Dell specs say PC2700 DDR 333Mhz memory OR PC3200 DDR 400Mhz (Non-ECC) SDRAM will work. I have tried several sources for memory (all new and all claim to be compatible w/ my system) but none of them are recognized by the Bios (just updated to A12). When the new RAM is installed (1x1G), my computer beeps 1-3-2 times and then nothing! Am I missing something... a jumper mabye or a bios setting? HELP!!!

Some of those older boards only recognize up to 512 mb sticks of ram per slot.
