Hello, about Dual In-line Memory Module DIMM , does it mean that there has to be two(hence Dual)actual memory stick on the motherboard?

You can use only one stick of RAM on the M/B. The construction type (DIMM) is internal to the RAM stick.

If you use two of them, you get dual channel operation if your M/B is dual-channel capable.

If you use three of them, you get tripple channel operation if your M/B supports tripple channel.
