Invalid scan freq message

having a problem connecting my pc to a hitachi 26 inc television through a dvi cable
at first it worked and the day after the connection fails at the point windows is starting.
in other words there is a display on the tv however, when windows starts the screen shows the message invalid scan freq message please help me
i am using windows 7 ..

Have you tried lowering it? Set it to 640x480 and 60Hz.

as i said i don't have that option because the windows doesn't recognize that the tv is connected to the pc ... and that is wierd ...

I thought you said it gave an invalid scan message. Is this the only monitor plugged into it? Try using a different monitor and use it to set the resolution.
