HDMI to DVI for Bluray

I just got GeForce GT 220 card and LG Blu-ray drive for Xmas. After installing both hardware and PowerDVD, I got an error message stating that my system did not support HDCP.

Upon further investigation, I found that the video card did support HDCP but it was not enabled due to the monitor not supporting HDCP content. Is there a way around this issue other than having to switch between DVI and VGA?

Could a DVI to HDMI adaptor resolve this issue?

Could the cable itself be the issue? I was reading about HDCP enabled DVI cables on http://www.igate.ca/dvi/index.htm and found that my dvi cable was DVI Single Link.
